For Libraries.

The Montana library community is a network that empowers all libraries – whether serving a town of 100 or 100,000 – to offer 21st century services. Through 82 public libraries - as well as academic, tribal, school, and special libraries, Montana’s libraries offer vital programs that create equitable access to information and learning opportunities. By funding this work at the state level, The Trust ensures support and services are available to all libraries that they couldn’t get on their own.

For Learning.

Montana’s libraries have evolved to be community hubs where individuals of every age and background can pursue information and resources that will help them thrive. Beyond books, our libraries offer access to technology, a way to connect to neighbors and colleagues, and a place to understand our state’s cultural heritage. The Trust makes sure that Montana’s libraries can continue to offer information and services that inspire lifelong learners both now and in the future.

For Life.

From the Montana Shared Catalog, which supports libraries and schools, to Geographic Information Services (GIS), which supplies information to the 911 system as well as environmental, agricultural, business and other resources, the services of the Montana’s libraries are vital to everyday life for Montanans. The Trust sustains these critical resources that our residents depend on for their safety, their businesses, and their futures. Learn more about the projects we have in mind.
